About Us

Northwest Decks is locally owned and operated in Port Orchard, WA. Doug and Sherri Meek started the company in 1999. Doug brings 15 years of building experience and Sherri brings a keen business sense. Together they have created a business that has the customer at heart.

We feel an important aspect of building decks is the quality of craftsmanship. Doug pays close attention to detail and because of this he is able to take pride in his work. Our decks are built to exceed most building codes to help keep you and your family safe. Doug and Sherri feel if the quality of craftsmanship exceeds the customers expectations, customer satisfaction is a given.

Northwest Decks installs enough Trex that they recognize Doug as a Trex Pro Gold. He is one of only 70 in the United States. What this means to you is that he won't be practicing on your deck. He is trained by Trex to install their product, including bending and rounding. He also toured their plant in Reno and seen Trex manufactured. Doug is also certified to heat weld seams on the vinyl decking. This does not allow water to seep through the seams and eliminates rot.
